It was a September afternoon, with a broad expanse of pure sky across which large clouds, like mountains of silver, moved in majestic slowness.

The Jersey Shore
I went to New Jersey this past weekend. A huge storm system passed through. It made the water rough, and there was lots of flooding. So here are some pictures!
Clouds over Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
Enterance to the inlet.
Other side of the inlet.
Rough waters.
On the beach:
Clouds moving out to sea.
Clouds over the beach.
Me and Kevin on the beach.
Waves.
Dark clouds behind rollercoaster.
The flooding:
A whole street filled with water.
Water coming right in and out of the bay.
People wading through the water.
Another street shot.
It got really deep as we drove through.
Another beach:
Clouds behind the fun.
Wave showing the mist blowing backwards from the land breeze.
All I can say...is look at all that RAIN (and snow in North Dakota and Montana)! That'll be today. I'm so glad it will be up in the 70s tomorrow. If only for a day.
Today's weather thanks to weather.com
Sorry I haven't updated recently...I've been busy, plus I haven't gotten around to charging my battery on my camera, and/or i have unloaded the pictures onto my laptop yet. Haha.
It's been really great weather yesterday and today. Clear and warm. But another cold front is coming through (they seem to be coming weekly now...) and it's going to get cold and rainy again.
*Polar Invasion*
I thought this was a funny picture from weather.com. But that's what's coming to ruin the beautiful weather!
It's been the same weather now for about three or four days now. So, picture taking isn't as fun. It's the same picture over and over. So I will share some pictures I took on the morning of April 3, 2006. A pretty rainbow!
Double rainbow right in front of my house! And as it got stronger...
Today was really hot. In the 80s. It was crazy, but tomorrow the high is suppose to be 52. I'd take the 80s over that any day. Anyway, so we had marching band, but it was cut short by the looming clouds with lightening and thunder in the distance (Distance being probably about half a mile away). I got some shots before it started raining.
Clouds and rain over the field house.
Cold front clouds rolling in.
Kevin was so sweet to greet me at my door with an umbrella. This is him through the rain splattered window.
Rain through the trees in Kevin's front yard. Aren't they pretty with all the colors?
I'm a sophomore at Virginia Tech with a major in Geography. I transfered from NRCC. I am from Blacksburg, VA, which means I'm a townie! I love it here in the mountains! I play trombone in the Marching Virginians. I want to be a meteorologist one day, but I might start focusing more into GIS. I have a wonderful boyfriend, Kevin. We've been together for a year! Once you get to know me, I open up a lot more, I know I can be really shy at first, but I get over that, trust me! Haha.
